In the off-beat Belgian mystery series Chantal, Inspector Chantal Vantomme (Maaike Cafmeyer, The Twelve) has just been assigned to take charge of the local police station in the small rural town of Loveringem, starting a new life there as a single mother with her ten-year-old daughter Emma.
