When a group of rambunctious teenagers inadvertently kill his only son, Ed Harley seeks the magic of a backwoods witch to bring the child back to life. But when she tells him that the child's death is irrevocable, his grief develops into an all-consuming desire for revenge! Defying superstition, he and the witch call upon the Pumpkinhead, a monstrously clawed and fanged demon. But Ed soon finds out that his connection with the demon could have horrible repercussions, so he sets out to stop it before he becomes one with it forever!
